 Registered Clinical Psychologist

Imagine, in the midst of daily life, just one moment when your mind clears and becomes serene, your emotions open as blissful energy, and your body feels strong, alive and relaxed. Imagine a moment when happiness permeates every cell of your being... However extraordinary, this describes our normal state of being – two months after birth.

As beings we are faced daily with challenges, demands, obstacles and responsibilities that leaves us tired, drained of energy, hopeless and disconnected from our normal state of being. We become disconnected as a result of various obstructions including (i) Mental obstructions such as worries, concerns and regrets; (ii) Physical obstructions such as injuries and chronic physical ailments; and (iii) Emotional obstructions such as anger, anxiety, fear and depression. These obstructions can be acute, reflecting temporary issues or experienced difficulties, or chronic which can reflect deep, longstanding and unresolved issues. Only when these obstructions are cleared are we able to live a full and abundant life filled with purpose, meaning and joyful energy.

I view psychotherapy as a facilitative process where the created healing space between the therapist and client allows for a holistic and transformative journey of self-discovery, self-enrichment, connectedness and awareness aimed at balance, wholeness and ultimately the healing of the self.
